Abstract Gampaha District of Sri Lanka is located in Low Country Wet Zone of Sri Lanka. But water scarcity during the yala season cause severe yield reduction in paddy (Oryza sativa) cultivation. Hence, farmers are reluctant to cultivate paddy during yala season at Naiwala of Gampa District.
