Abstract |
Under advancing innovative policies and local solutions for community transformation, this study is aimed at determining the future of Lubigi wetland using satellite images. Wetlands, especially those within around cities are at a risk of being depleted. Most of the areas that ought to be conserved are facing several unregulated human activities (titling of such areas, farming, and developmental projects). There are many stakeholders that are vital to meeting developmental solutions for community transformation but these stakeholders need to work hand in hand.. . .. . … |

Abstract |
Ebrie Lagoon is one of the most important aquatic ecosystems in Ivory Coast due to its ecological values and fish farms. Unfortunately it suffered many years ago to fish mortality. The quality of Ebrie Lagoon waters was assessed from February 2014 to January 2015 to provide possible causes of fish mortality. Average monthly values of physical and chemical parameters including temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, transparency, salinity and suspended matter in surface waters ranged between 25.09 -32.23 °C, 6.01 -8.77, 1.27 – 13.47 mgL-1, 0.50 -3.50 m, 0.04 -11.08 ‰ and 2.50 – 48 mgL-1, respectively .. . .. . … |

Abstract |
Water resources, considered the natural wealth sources of the world due to their biological diversity, are the most important ecosystems of the earth with their natural functions and economic values. The water resources of Istanbul, which is the biggest city in Turkey, confront environmental problems brought about by the increasing population, urbanization and industrialization. Treatment of industrial wastewater before being discharged into the receiving environment is one of theessential.. . .. . … |

Abstract |
The main purpose of the present study, investigate the availability of the informational entropy (IE) method as a drought parameters. For this purpose, the drought characteristics in the Northern Aegean Region in Turkey were investigated. Various drought indexes, which are widely used drought analysis methods, like the Erinc Index and the Standard Precipitation Index were performed for the region. In addition, the informational entropy (IE) method was also investigated and compared the common indexes in this study. The evaluated data in 29 stations are gauged by The Turkish State Meteorological Service (DMI). For determining the drought indexes both long term precipitation and temperature data were used |

Abstract |
The aim of this study is to analyze spatial patterns of earthquakes with magnitude m=3 that have occurred in and around Turkey during the period of time between 1900 and 2014. Apart from the central tendency and dispersion method, the Nearest Neighbor, Global Moran’s I, Anselin Local Moran’s I, and Kernel Density Estimator methods were applied to the earthquake data in a GIS environment in order to understand directional trends of earthquakes and to determine where earthquakes constitute clusters with different magnitudes. The analyses were also performed for two different time periods, 1936-1974 and 1975-2014 |

Abstract |
The purpose of this research was to estimate the carrying capacity provisioning service of floating net cage (FNC) cultured in koto panjang resevoir. This research was conducted by using survey method, field experiment, and laboratory analysis. Carrying capacity was estimated based on Phosphorus loads. The results showed several physical and chemical parameters in Koto Panjang Reservoir water were all below threshold value of water quality standard |
