Title Equilibrium Measurement of the Role of Innovation and Institutions on Economic Growth in Nigeria

Abstract

The current study investigates the role of innovation and institutions on economic growth using the annual time series data on Nigeria spanning 1981 to 2017. Auto regressive distributed lag model was employed to ascertain the long run equilibrium or otherwise. F-bound statistics indicates that there is no long run relationship among the variables under investigation while the short run estimate of the model revealed positive and significant relationship between economic growth and innovations.
